Adhurst St Mary
Adhurst St Mary
A scheme for the extension and conversion of this Charles Phillip Hardwicke Elizabethan Gothic Victorian mansion set in 32 acres near Petersfield, Hampshire. Previously the ancestral home of the Bonham-Carter family the house is Grade II listed and about 19,000 square feet including its outbuildings. The proposed alterations and extensions accommodate 69 hotel bedrooms, new conference and leisure wings and 16 townhouses in the walled garden. Planning and listed building consents have been achieved (following two previous sets of approvals in 2002 and 2004/7.) The Hindhead tunnel is open and travel times are much more swift from London and Adhurst also now finds itself in the new South Downs National Park.
